In August, I serenaded Chicago’s Humboldt Park with the song “Exotic Forest” by Sun Ra and I serenaded the Lakefront with the song “From the River to the Ocean” by Fred Anderson and Hamid Drake. The songs were projected from a speaker vest that I wore while riding my bike through the park and on the lakeshore path. The videos function as documentation of the serenades and as maps of the spaces, capturing their diverse sounds and sites.
